The snake in Eve’s ear
Kissing you on the cheek, I sold your soul for two pieces of brass while draped in virgin blue
I don’t believe in God, but I believe in sin
It writhes within me like an eel as black as oil
Exposed to the light it grows, thrashing against my organs and threatening to escape from my throat
